Course Description
Aspergillus flavus AF36 Prevail has been proven to be an effective commercial tool to control aflatoxin in the almond, cotton, pistachio, and other industries. ABC funded research has confirmed its efficacy in reducing the population of toxic aspergillus strains. This training will cover the latest research findings and industry experience with applications of AF36. It will cover how and when AF36 is applied and used in pistachios, how the industry wide pistachio program could apply to almonds. The affect and benefit it can have on reducing dangerous aflatoxin levels in almond orchards, and how it works with a normal IPM program.
